The History of VOSH Church
This book has unearthed the historical background of the formation and establishment of the VOSH Church. Having been formed and established in Luo Nyanza of Western Kenya, the book has dug into the religious background of the Luo community; before the coming of the Missionaries, during the East Africa Revival Movement and during the emergence of the African Initiated Churches (AICs). The book has traced the history of the VOSH Church from the pre- to post-independence in Kenya. Importantly, it has examined some key personalities whose contributions at the initial stages cannot be ignored. Equally, it has, elaborately discussed how the key founding personalities had different ideologies, which finally culminated into two major schisms. The book has also given some recommendations for the betterment of the church. All these have been written to enlighten the readers and possibly pick up certain lessons.
